LicenseMatch
LicenseMatch is an online tool offered by the State of Georgia to verify license information.
LicenseMatch offers a simple way – instantly – to stop anyone using a fraudulent Georgia driver’s license or identification card to access services. Businesses can verify license information against the state database to prevent fraud, minimize loss and document verification when anyone presents a license in connection with a variety of activities, such as:
- Cash a check
- Purchase age sensitive goods (alcohol and/or tobacco)
- Open an account
- Enter establishments with age requirements (bars, clubs)
- Obtain account information
- Write checks for items
- Pick up pre-ordered checks
- Use a credit card for payment
- Initiate a wire transfer
- Test drive a car
- Apply for housing (home purchase, renting)
- Gain entry into a safe deposit box
All that is required to access the LicenseMatch service is:
- A signed agreement
- Internet connection to access the LicenseMatch service
- $100 billing account setup fee (Make your check payable to the Georgia Technology Authority.)
