GTA Receives Responses to GAIT 2010 RFPs

Friday, June 27, 2008

The Georgia Technology Authority is another step closer to selecting service providers for GAIT 2010.

In keeping with our timeline, GTA has received responses to the Requests for Proposal (RFPs) issued in April for Infrastructure Services and Managed Network Services.

Evaluation underway

Teams made up of GTA and agency staff are participating in the evaluation process.  Human resource, business relationship, finance, and terms and conditions teams will evaluate proposals for both RFPs, while separate technical teams are assigned to each RFP.

The teams are in the first phase of evaluation, which requires them to read and carefully score each proposal.  The teams will then prepare for the solution walkthroughs in July when the potential service providers will respond to questions compiled by the evaluators.  Providers will refine their proposals, which will be reviewed and scored again.  GTA expects to complete evaluations in August.

Next steps

  • Contract negotiations:  September – October 2008
  • Contract signing:  October – November 2008
  • Transition to external service providers:  November 2008 – March 2009
