Portfolio Management

Portfolio Management provides the state enterprise and agencies with the means to identify, evaluate and set priorities for technology initiatives to ensure the state achieves the greatest value possible for the dollars invested.

Life Cycle Tracking

Another essential part of Portfolio Management is the tracking of IT initiatives through their life cycle. Once investments are captured in the portfolio inventory, the resulting projects are monitored throughout their life cycle with Project Assurance and alignment with the Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) framework.

Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) interlocks with Portfolio Management through the enterprise Critical Projects Review Panel, a monthly review of the most critical projects in Georgia state government. These reviews involve all of the key parties on an agency's project management team. They take place at the highest levels in the agency and the state to ensure business objectives are being met, results are being delivered, and attention and focus are provided when needed.
