Within the Enterprise Governance and Planning Division, the Strategy Office facilitates the creation and execution of the State CIO's IT vision. Through collaborative efforts, members of the Strategy Office work with agency business and IT leaders across the enterprise to gather information to help identify the business needs of state agencies. This information is critical to ensuring the right IT initiatives are placed on the Enterprise IT Road Map for implementation.
The Strategy Office is responsible for enterprise IT planning with a focus in three primary areas: Agency Strategic IT Planning, Agency Business Continuity Planning, and Enterprise Broadband Planning. Planning is part of the governance process, and policies, standards, and guidelines serve as an integral component of the planning process. The Strategy Office offers free consulting services to agencies in each of the above disciplines.
The Strategy Office also provides support and leadership in the following strategic initiatives:
-
Publication of the State IT Annual Report
-
Administration of the Enterprise IT Governance Reporting Tool (ITGR)
-
Facilitation of the GETS (Georgia Enterprise Technology Services) CIO Council
-
