Cyber Fusion and Threat Information

OIS provides leadership in the development, delivery and maintenance of a cybersecurity program that safeguards the state's IT assets against unauthorized use, disclosure, modification, damage or loss. This comprehensive statewide program encompasses information security implementation, monitoring, threat and vulnerability management, cyber incident management, and enterprise business continuity management.

Information regarding cyber threats to critical infrastructure such as the state's information technology assets, networks, and constituent data and information is received at the Fusion Center from state agencies and local governments, state and federal law enforcement, and federal homeland security partners.

This information is reviewed for relevancy and processed into communications for informing stakeholders of possible threats. These communications can be in the form of alerts, advisories or bulletins, and they are primarily directed to those most likely to be under possible threat.
