About Your Training
The GTA Learning Academy is open to state of Georgia employees. Use of the Learning Academy requires that you have an active login ID and password.
State employees without an active login ID and password for GTA's learning management system may request aceess by selecting "Create an account" on the GTA Learning Academy's sign-in page. See the Application Guide for additional information. Access will be provided within 24-72 business hours.
If you already have access to the Learning Academy, log in and enroll in the course. Some courses may require additional approval from the course administrator or your supervisor.
Class Enrollment Policy
All GTA training classes have a minimum number of enrollees unless otherwise indicated. GTA reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule a class that doesn't meet the minimum requirement of five enrollees. Cancellation will occur three business days before the start of class, and an email notification will be sent to registered enrollees.
Training Attendance Policy
GTA training classes begin and end at the scheduled time. To be respectful of instructors and other class participants, please arrive on time. If you are running late or will be absent on the day of training, email the GTA Training and Education team at GTATraining@gta.ga.gov.
Class Drop Policy
All GTA training class registrations close three business days before the start of class. To withdraw from a class, log in to the Learning Academy and select the class from "My Courses." Select "Unenroll" at the top of the screen to drop the class. If enrollment has closed or expired, contact the administrator, whose name is located on the class information screen.
If you request to drop a course after the registration period is closed, you will be considered a No Show. You will receive a notification if you accumulate a total of three No Show's. After the fourth No Show, GTA will automatically remove you from the program.
If you have to drop a course after the registration period is closed due to an emergency, submit your cancellation to the GTA Training and Education team at GTATraining@gta.ga.gov and include:
- Your name
- Course title and date
- Reason for late drop
Unless otherwise stated, no course materials will be distributed in class, so be sure to download them from the Learning Academy website and bring them with you.
Courses scheduled at a GTA training facility will be held at 47 Trinity Avenue, S.W., in Atlanta on either the ground floor or the 7th floor. Please be prepared to show your state ID or other photo ID to security personnel when you enter the building.
Paid parking is available at the Pete Hackney parking deck, 162 Jesse Hill Jr. Drive, in Atlanta. Public parking is also available on Washington Street between Trinity Avenue and Memorial Drive.
