GTA Direct IT services program adds new network services, providers

The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) has added an array of managed network services offered by 14 service providers to its GTA Direct IT services program.

The GTA Direct program provides a quick path to managed IT services for Georgia agencies, local governments, colleges and universities, and boards of education statewide. That's everything from computing services to telecommunications and network services, wireless services, hosted contact center services, and more. Customers can choose from a provider's standard catalog or request a custom quote. GTA qualifies the vendors and provides light governance over the contracts, enabling agencies to then purchase services directly from the providers.

"We are pleased to expand the selection of services and participating providers available through GTA Direct," said Calvin Rhodes, state of Georgia chief information officer and GTA executive director. "With GTA Direct, Georgia government entities can capitalize on the state's purchasing power and access contracts tailored for government with a pool of industry-leading IT providers."

Among the newly added managed network services are broadband, dedicated corporate circuits, dedicated internet, public switched telephone network (PSTN) voice, cable and wiring, managed Wi-Fi, and unified communications.

Fourteen service providers have been approved by GTA to provide one or more of the managed network services: AT&T, Basesix, Big Fish Technology, CenturyLink (Lumen), Comcast Business, CooperCraft Communications, Five Points Infrastructure Services, Georgia Public Web, Hargray, Hughes, Kinetic by Windstream, NetPlanner Systems, Verizon, and Zoom.

Information about GTA Direct, including service provider contacts, appears on the GTA website: gta.ga.gov/gta-services/gta-direct-services. Georgia state and local government entities can request access to details about services and pricing.
