The National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) elected Calvin Rhodes, Georgia State CIO and GTA Executive Director, as Secretary and Treasurer for the 2015-2016 program year.
The selection of NASCIO’s new executive leadership took place October 13 at the organization’s annual meeting.
NASCIO is a nonprofit association representing state CIOs and IT executives from all 50 states, U.S. territories and the District of Columbia. It advocates for technology policy at various levels of government and promotes the adoption of IT best practices and innovations. NASCIO also provides support services to public-sector CIOs, hosts national conferences and conducts research.
“I’m honored to have been chosen for such an important position in one of the nation’s most respected organizations focused on the use of technology in government,” Mr. Rhodes said. “I look forward to continuing my association with NASCIO and to the benefits I believe it brings to the state of Georgia.”
Mr. Rhodes previously served as a member of NASCIO’s Executive Committee.
