Technology enabling the business of government

GTA leaders talk tech on StateScoop TV

June 27, 2017

Technology journalists routinely turn to GTA leaders for insights about IT issues affecting state governments nationwide and Georgia’s approach to those challenges.

NASCIO’s mid-year conference in April 2017 provided an opportunity for StateScoop TV to interview State CIO and GTA Executive Director Calvin Rhodes and Georgia CTO Steve Nichols on a variety of current topics.

In Mr. Rhodes’ video interview, he discussed cybersecurity and the Hull-McKnight Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center, currently under construction in Augusta. He also focused on the importance of Georgia’s partnerships with private-sector technology leaders in providing IT infrastructure and network services to state agencies.

Modernizing the state’s legacy IT environment and how the user experience drives the way we think about digital services were topics for Dr. Nichols’ video interview.
