GTA Direct Services FAQs
-
What is GTA Direct?
The GTA Direct program provides access to contracts with a pool of GTA-qualified IT providers. These managed service contracts can accelerate technology procurements for most public entities in the state of Georgia.
-
How does it work?
Customers may choose from a provider's standard catalog of services or request custom quotes. These services are purchased directly from the providers. GTA pre-qualifies the pool of service providers and offers light governance over any contracts signed. Agencies negotiate directly with the provider and manage their provider relationship. GTA offers assistance but does not serve as a liaison between a service provider and an agency.
-
Who can purchase GTA Direct services?
Georgia's public entities, such as city and county governments, public and not-for-profit colleges and universities, boards of education, and agencies not already part of the Georgia Enterprise Technology Services (GETS) program can purchase GTA Direct services.
-
What services are currently provided through GTA Direct?
Available services include network and voice, managed security, virtual desktop, managed servers, managed storage, wireless, managed print, end user computing, disaster recovery, managed mobility, mainframe, and managed services for cloud email.
-
What are the advantages to using GTA Direct versus issuing an RFP?
The first advantage is overall ease of procurement, since the GTA Direct contracts are the result of a competitive process. Customers also have the additional option to request quotes from several GTA Direct providers using a Request for Quote or Statement of Need in order to compare pricing or to receive bulk pricing, which may offer significant savings to your entity.
