GTA OIS works collaboratively with information security organizations at all levels of state government. We offer assistance and subject matter expertise to help build, manage, and mature cybersecurity programs as well as provide support to identify and manage IT-related risk.
Using the NIST Risk Management and Cybersecurity Frameworks and CIS 18 Critical Controls as our guide and leveraging our partnerships from the MS-ISAC, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and Georgia Department of Defense, OIS acts as an advisor and consultant to agencies. We assist executives, security officers, business owners, and IT departments in developing comprehensive security strategies and methods to define, implement, and continuously monitor the cybersecurity structures that support their mission in a constantly changing cyber landscape.
In addition, information security policies and standards issued by GTA play a critical role in reducing risk in the state's technology enterprise.
