Tyson Begly
Mr. Begly brings more than 20 years of experience spanning the technology sector, public service, and municipal leadership. Before being named City Manager, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Highline in West Point, where he led strategic growth initiatives to bridge the digital divide and expand broadband access for underserved communities. Previously, Mr. Begly held the positions of Chief Financial and Operating Officer at Delta Data, a private equity-backed financial technology firm recognized as one of the top 40 innovative technology companies in Georgia. Before his tenure at Delta Data, he was a management and technology consultant at Accenture and Diamond Management and Technology Consultants. Mr. Begly has also served in civic and volunteer leadership roles, including City-Wide Councilor for Columbus, Georgia, and Board Chair for Open Door Community House. He currently serves on the Business Advisory Council for Auburn University's Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering.
He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Auburn University. Mr. Begly and his wife, Bekah, live in Columbus with their three children.
