Georgia places finalists in TAG technology awards

Georgia's digital equity program, Let's Connect Georgia, led by GTA is a finalist for the TAG Tech for Good award. This distinction, given annually by TAG, honors projects that capitalize on technology to promote inclusiveness and equity of opportunity in Georgia. GTA is honored to contribute to the digital readiness of Georgia communities. GTA's digital connectivity manager, Oneisha Freeman Rojales, is also a TAG award finalist in the Emerging Leader of the Year category. That's on the strength of her work to equip Georgians to participate fully in the digital community. Robbie Vickers and Ananias Williams, CIOs of TCSG and DOR respectively, are also finalists for Public Servant Tech Leader.

Georgia's Orchard wins NASCIO IT award

The state's Orchard website design system, implemented and managed by GTA's Office of Digital Services and Solutions, has earned a prestigious NASCIO state IT award. Honored in the information communications technology category, it was one of this year's winners announced in October.

Georgia has made the cut in the prestigious NASCIO State IT Recognition Awards. Among the newly announced finalists are a Georgia Board of Health Care Workforce online dashboards initiative.

Digital transformation touted at GTA-hosted summit

The GTA-hosted Technology Summit saw participants getting ready for the future. A future full of technology-fueled opportunities and challenges to keep things interesting. Summit speakers illustrated how technologies, some new and already familiar, are making digital transformation a priority for any government trying to best serve its constituents.

New GOVChats series features interstate IT talk

A new series from GTA's Office of Digital Services and Solutions team aims to share the wealth. The wealth of success tactics, that is, for managing government websites and other digital considerations. GOVChats sessions debuted in March and present discussion between GTA and other states' digital services teams.

Georgia is represented among the recently announced winners of the StateScoop 50 Awards, with honorees in two categories. State CIO and GTA Executive Director Shawnzia Thomas won a GoldenGov State Executive of the Year award, a distinction she also earned in 2022. And, GTA's digital connectivity program, Let's Connect Georgia, was selected as a State IT Innovation of the Year.
