Cloud Services
AWS Cloud
GTA offers enterprise-level cloud solutions to state agencies and other government entities throughout Georgia. GTA achieves lower costs through volume discounts and facilitates procurement.
As you prepare to migrate your applications to the cloud environment, the GTA cloud services team will partner with you from scoping and planning to implementation. We'll analyze your infrastructure, assist with migration planning and processes, optimize cost and security measures, and deliver ongoing support.
Benefits
Migrating to the cloud gives your agency a low-cost, scalable, robust, and highly reliable infrastructure platform in the cloud hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Pricing Discounts
Contracting for this service through GTA supports good stewardship of public funds. Thanks to volume pricing in the commercial cloud marketplace, the more agencies that join, the lower the price for everyone participating.
Easy Procurement
Getting to your cloud services through GTA cuts down on paperwork and speeds up the procurement process. The program is endorsed by the governor's office and covered by one inter-agency agreement.
Agency Autonomy
You can procure your migration supplier or work with one from GTA's list of vetted suppliers. GTA and AWS have established a full-service cloud migration program for Georgia agencies. Well-defined processes and techniques are already set up among GTA, AWS, and our trusted suppliers to provide an efficient and cost-effective migration experience.
If you'd like to work with someone from GTA's list, here's what to do:
- Fill out the GTA services inquiry form below to request a statement of need (SON).
- Once it's completed, return the SON to GTA, and we'll share your request with our suppliers.
- GTA will send you information about the suppliers who submitted offers to work with you based on your request.
- If you like what you see and decide to work with one of those suppliers, you can use GTA's pre-arranged contract. The charges will appear on your monthly GTA bill.
GTA also offers a portfolio of extra support services. You maintain your relationship with the supplier while enjoying the discounts from being part of a larger organization.
If you'd prefer to work directly with AWS for support, AWS offers a ticketing system for self-managed agency technical teams. AWS Managed Services (AMS) offers operational support, backups, resource scheduling, and patching. However, application support isn't provided.
