Technology Innovation Showcase
For the 10th consecutive year, GTA is sponsoring the Technology Innovation Showcase, which helps Georgia state agencies and local governments learn about IT projects in other agencies that are changing the way government does business. It recognizes innovative uses of technology that enable agencies to better meet constituent expectations for services and information, improve operating efficiency, and conserve tax dollars.
The deadline for submissions is March 26, 2021.
Project categories for 2021 are slightly different from previous years. GTA is looking for projects in the following categories that were completed by December 31, 2020:
- Business process innovations
- Cross-boundary collaboration and partnerships
- Data management, analytics, and visualization
- Digital services: Government to business
- Digital services: Government to constituent
- Emerging and innovative technologies
- Enterprise IT management initiatives
- Information communications technology innovations
Agencies may submit as many projects in as many categories as they would like. Before deciding on a category for a project, you may want to read our category descriptions.
The online submission form below asks for details about the project, including the level of innovation in addressing a specific business problem and the significance of the project to improve operating efficiency, saving money, and enhancing service delivery.
Projects selected for the 2021 showcase will be honored at the Georgia Digital Government Summit this year. Showcase honorees will also be highlighted in Georgia's annual state IT report, and they will be considered for submission to the National Association of State CIOs (NASCIO) State IT Recognition Awards.
Cyber Dawg, Georgia's multi-agency security exercise aimed at sharpening technical response to ransomware attacks, received a first-place award from NASCIO in 2020.
