Technology Innovation Showcase
The Georgia Technology Authority is pleased to sponsor the Technology Innovation Showcase for the ninth consecutive year, and submissions are still being accepted.
The showcase, which recognizes innovative uses of technology in serving constituents, help agencies in local and state government learn about one another's outstanding IT projects. In selecting projects to receive top honors, the evaluation panel focuses on the level of innovation in addressing a specific business problem and the significance of the project in improving operating efficiency, saving money, and enhancing service delivery. To be eligible, projects must have been completed by December 31, 2019.
GTA is seeking projects in the following nine categories:
- Business Process Innovations
- Cross-boundary Collaboration and Partnerships
- Data Management, Analytics, and Visualization
- Digital Government: Government to Business
- Digital Government: Government to Citizen
- Emerging and Innovative Technologies
- Enterprise IT Management Initiatives
- Information Communications Technology
Agencies may submit as many projects in as many categories as they would like. Before deciding on a category for a project, you may want to read our category descriptions.
Projects selected for the 2020 showcase will be honored at the Georgia Digital Government Summit in Atlanta this fall. Projects earning showcase honors will also be highlighted in Georgia's Annual State IT Report and considered for submission to the National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) State IT Recognition Awards, the Technology Association of Georgia's Excalibur Awards, and others.
The Georgia Cyber Center, a unique public/private collaboration, for example, was chosen for the showcase and was a finalist for the Cross-Boundary Collaboration and Partnerships category for NASCIO in 2019.
