Georgia Enterprise Technology Services (GETS)
GETS is the state's shared IT services program, in place for more than a decade. Through it, reliable, secure and innovative IT infrastructure and managed network services are available to state and local government agencies.
GTA offers GETS technology services through a public-private partnership. Using this approach, GTA provides a full range of managed network services and IT infrastructure services to 14 agencies in the state’s executive branch, as well as a-la-carte services to many other agencies. The managed technology services approach aligns directly with Governor Kemp’s strategic goal to “expand public-private partnerships and leverage technology to best utilize limited state resources.” Georgia has drawn national attention by demonstrating a viable alternative to states developing and delivering technology services themselves.
Managing your GETS services
The managing your GETS services page gives guidance agencies can use to most efficiently manage their consumption of GETS services to suit changing business needs.
Through the GETS program, GTA makes available high-quality, up-to-date IT services from leading technology service providers. State agencies can purchase those services in combinations and quantities that best meet their changing business needs. To do so effectively, agencies need a clear understanding of their IT expenditures and a clear picture of how GETS allows them to manage service volumes. GTA partners with agencies in that effort called consumption management.
