Information/Workshops

State of Georgia agencies rely heavily on information technology to run their daily operations and deliver their services to the citizens of Georgia. With the increasing dependency on IT, the growing complexity of state government's IT infrastructure, and the constantly changing information security threat and risk environment, information security has become a mission-critical function. This function must be managed and governed to reduce the risks to state government operations and to ensure the state’s ability to do business and serve the public. GTA’s Office of Information Security (OIS) works actively with agencies to assist them in implementing and operating a robust information security program. In addition to providing a comprehensive framework of information security policies, standards, and guidelines, OIS provides workshops, templates, workbooks, and other assistance to aid agencies in building and operating their security program.
