Managing GETS IT service consumption for best results

Through the Georgia Enterprise Technology Services (GETS) program, GTA makes available high-quality, up-to-date IT services from leading technology service providers. State agencies can purchase those services in combinations and quantities that best meet their changing business needs. To do so effectively, agencies need a clear understanding of their IT expenditures and a clear picture of how GETS allows them to manage service volumes. GTA partners with agencies in that effort called consumption management.

Here we provide easy-to-follow consumption management guidance for each main type of GETS service. A section devoted to each service category includes:

  1. Best practices for managing service consumption
  2. Sources of consumption information available through GETS reporting
  3. Step-by-step instructions for changing service in the GETS environment

Just select a service category from the link collection below or the menu at left.

It's a partnership

It takes collaboration and discipline. GTA works to make the tools, options, and information available. Then, agencies use those resources to shape their individual approaches so they can consume the GETS services they need in the amounts they need and when they need them.
