Preparing state agency IT staff to meet the challenges of new operating practices is fundamental to Georgia's cloud-first campaign being led by GTA. If you'd like to learn skills you'll need as your agency transitions to cloud computing, and you've received your manager's approval, follow the steps below to register for a course offered through a GTA / Technical College System of Georgia program. Courses are taught via Gwinnett Technical College.

To check the status of your application, sign into Gwinnett Tech's new student portal. If you have questions about your application, reach out to Gwinnett Tech's executive director of student affairs, Dr. Joe Hutto.

  • Request the "TCSG-AWS Requirements" Form

    Email GTA's cloud training lead, Deborah Sykes, below to request the form. Then, email the completed form back to her, copying your manager.

  • Complete the Application Process

    Go to the Gwinnett Technical College website and click "apply now." After you create a new ID and password, select "certificate" for the program type. Then, select your program.

    Be sure to enter the application fee waiver code, GTA, when prompted.

  • Provide ID

    Email a copy of your valid driver's license or state ID to Gwinnett Technical College below. Be sure to send it from your state-issued email address.
